The Health Care Specialist is primarily responsible for providing emergency medical treatment, limited primary care and health protection and evacuation from a point of injury or illness. Some of your duties as a Health Care Specialist may include: Administering emergency medical treatment, assisting with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment, interviewing patients and recording their medical histories, taking patients' temperature, pulse and blood pressure, preparing blood samples for laboratory analysis, keeping health records and clinical files up-to-date, giving shots and medicines to patients, preparing patients, operating rooms, equipment and supplies for surgery. You will receive 100 percent tuition to continue your medical training and student loan repayment (for existing loans if qualified). Once your training is completed, you will receive a $20,000 bonus. This position is traditionally one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer but there are full time positions available on an individual basis. Minimum requirements: 17-34 years of age (17 with parental consent), must achieve a qualifying score on the Armed Services Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test and pass a military entrance physical.
