What you'll be doing...

This position will join the Global Technology Solutions (GTS) Verizon Infrastructure Platform Services (VIPS) Strategy and Transformation Office.
Provide financial reporting and governance for the data center operational team for the budgeting and financial forecasting process.
Provide monthly reporting and metrics to the Data Center Operational teams by proactively identifying opportunities and risks around business unit performance.
Partner with peers within the Strategy and Transformation Office to develop standards, help streamline processes, drive end to end process improvements and efficiencies, and provide overall support to data center teams when needed.
Provide GTS Data Center Operations and Data Center Consolidation program level Financial Management & Reporting inclusive of capital, operational, and headcount reporting.
Provide financial governance for the VIPS data centers - by facilitating the budget planning & forecasts with the data center teams; interface and collaborate with FP&A on monthly deliverables and analysis.
Identify and recommend opportunities for operational cost savings across the VIPS data centers by partnering with the Data Center Operational teams.
Partner with Data Center Operational teams to develop and prioritize capital planning requirements and End Of Service Life reporting for annual budget cycle and financial forecasts.
Administer and govern Data Center Audits and CPI-810 compliance activities by proactively implementing process improvements to minimize audit deficiencies.
Engage Verizon Sourcing Ireland LLC (VSIL) for contract renewals, amendments, statements of work (SOW), etc. while providing a support role in gathering requirements from the Data Center Operational teams for the applicable document updates.
Identify processes or reports to automate, simplify, or eliminate and create standards and documentation to support internal tools and websites.
Complete tasks on time and ensure overall projects are tracking to milestones and deliverables; provide status reports as required.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

Experience in Datacenter operations and provide Data Center Consolidation program level Financial Management & Reporting inclusive of capital, operational, and headcount reporting.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in IT, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direct supervision.
Project management skills and knowledge of Project Management tools.
Experience creating business cases and financial modeling.
Knowledge of corporate financial planning process and systems, reporting and analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies.
Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep dive analysis.
Knowledge of physical operations roles and major work functions.
Knowledge of systems and applications located and supported in the IT managed data centers.
Experience in driving process improvement across diverse teams.
Ability to effectively engage/interact/communicate with all levels within the organization.
Strong knowledge of Excel / Powerpoint or equivalent G-Suite tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
