Astound Broadband  Powered by RCN is searching for a GIS Specialist with Fiber and/or Coax knowledge in our Wilkes-Barre PA location. This position is responsible for working with Engineering to understand, QC and digitize RCN fiber optic network and coax network into the company's GIS mapping system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Procure and QC fiber optic and coax network as-built documentation from the local Construction team.
• Digitize data accumulated from as-built documentation into the company's Graphical Information System
• Work with local markets in order to efficiently gather network data
• Work with sales to layout maps and create network designs in GIS system
• Work with local market to create system procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree with solid computer skills
• Understanding of Fiber Optic Networks
• Understanding of Coax Networks
• Basic knowledge of construction and outside plant
• Experience with ERSI platform software like ArcMap and ArcCatalog a plus
• Understanding of CAD software
