Borton-Lawson is looking for an Architectural Designer to assist Project Managers with Architectural projects from proposal and schematic design to production of construction documents, bidding and construction administration.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Works under the direction of project architect.
•Perform space programming and planning, meeting with client to establish space needs.
•Develops construction drawings (Schematic Design through Construction Documents) utilizingAutodesk Revit (primary) & AutoCAD.
•Develops project specifications on drawings and in project manual using software required by project.
•Coordinates with other disciplines (structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, civil) in order to produceand/or revise Architectural construction documents, details and drawings.
•Obtains project data (photographs, measurements, existing documentation, etc.) through field and sitevisits.
•Researches materials and building systems, safety, and building codes as required to detail a project.
•Selects interior and exterior materials and color schemes. Assist in preparation of finish boards.
•Develops presentation materials for use at client, public meetings or for marketing purposes
•Utilize Autodesk Navisworks, Revit, and/or BIM360 for clash detection & model coordination.
•Perform Construction Administration services on projects (RFIs, Submittals, & Construction Meetings).
•Assist project architects & project managers progress project tasks by independently developing and researching as required.

Required Experience:

An Associate’s Degree and 0-5 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Autodesk Revit experience a plus.
