JOB TITLE: Retail Seller

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for selling retail merchandise items for concerts and shows at the arena.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists Retail Supervisor as needed with counting in of show merchandise and distributes to the various points of sale as directed
• Setup of the merchandise stands and/or portables before the event
• Displays merchandise in a way that is appealing to the eye of the patron
• Handles credit card transactions while maintaining accurate procedures and completing any required paperwork at all times
• Provides great customer service by interacting with guests in a pleasant and professional manner
• Helps with the stand break down, count out, and clean up upon closing
• Cleans shelves, counters, and tables upon the closing and the packing up of merchandise
• Performs other tasks as assigned

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

This position requires stooping, lifting, and substantial standing and walking. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs to the waist.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works primarily behind a merchandise stand or portable location.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess excellent customer service skills and  excellent math skills needed to accurately count inventory; must pass a Consumer Report background check
• Must possess familiarity with a credit card machine and inventory management paperwork
• Must possess the ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work, a positive attitude, and a clean and neat appearance
• Must possess the ability to walk and/stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds to the waist
• Must possess the ability to work hours as dictated by events
• Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, work as a team, and have reliable transportation
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
