This position is located in our Pine Grove, Pennsylvania facility, which is approximately 30 minutes northeast of Harrisburg, the state capitol of Pennsylvania. Pine Grove also has easy access to both Baltimore and Philadelphia, both of which are about two and one-half hours from the facility. Our Pine Grove facility develops and manufactures a wide array of products for the Company's Specialty Products Group.

Buyer

As a member of the Materials team, the Buyer will be responsible for forecasting and purchasing functions for raw materials to support operations. The position will work with all commodities and maintain inventory levels to support customer demand and meet inventory level goals. The position requires a full understanding of existing systems/processes and the ability to develop and improve the processes. The individual in this role will manage/report on Aged & Obsolete Inventory weekly reviews and all inventory tasks assigned by Materials Management Manager and/or leadership within operations.

The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Execute procurement of raw material

Proactive and timely communication daily with all vendors, including but not limited to inventory positions, current demand & future forecasting data, releases, upcoming developments, etc.

Minimize any stock out positions. Plan accordingly to lessen impact on production caused by vendor delays or extended lead times.

Communicate with planning, customer service and sales team any changes versus confirmed schedules.

Manage supply chain in regards to on time delivery and lead time adherence

Analyze data regarding inventories, minimum order quantity and lead times to better align supply with demand. Work directly with customer service, sales to rectify any adverse situations.

Drive inventory reduction plans in partnership with operations & customer service.

Identify and champion opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives and strive for workload & process efficiencies.

Lead physical inventory counts for beam/case yarn.

Take active role in Lear Textile System implementation.

Perform all functions with materials team goals in mind

Take active role in upcoming launches to ensure success from materials standpoint.

All other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years in materials/supply chain function/buying/purchasing

Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP and BASICS experience a plus.

Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in textile management

Ability to use analytical tools to identify and drive improvements.

Exceptional organizational skills and detail orientated.

Solid leadership skills; able to lead by example; decision-maker.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and negotiation skills required.

Ability to prioritize and work under pressure

Strong oral and written communication skills

Must be a self-motivated individual; displays ability to work in highly productive, constantly changing environment.

High level of attention to detail.
