Reimagine What's Possible

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opening for anOperational Excellence Asset Data Automation Manager.

A key enabler to business growth is data integrity and digitization to execute Air Products' large integrated projects globally, across all regions, seamlessly and effectively. As an owner-operator, it is business critical to then operate these new assets most efficiently, leveraging data automation and digital twin technologies over the life of the asset. Just as the Company's internal project execution efficiency can be bolstered through organization's data automation capabilities, the Operating phase of the asset will benefit from efficiencies by driving the full integration of work processes, tools, and systems used by the Operations and Maintenance organization. In Air Product's "Build, Own, Operate" model, it is essential to modernize the current processes and systems under the leadership of an individual with experience in O&M work processes and asset data automation as well as data integration within an operating asset.

This position provides leadership/expertise in the field of Operating asset data automation along with integration across the suite of tools Operations uses to safety and efficiently operate and maintain our equipment and systems. Working with the operating, maintenance and operations engineering organization, the position will oversee the definition and implementation of integrated tools, focusing initially on green field site large scale assets which used a data hub during project design and execution. The OpEx Asset Data Automation Manager is accountable with developing a strategic vision of data system integration, data integrity and quality work processes and management of change, so that a digital twin of the facility is maintained and leveraged over a 30+ year life cycle. The OpEx Asset Data Automation Manager will be working with our Digital Technology organization and outside software and data system providers to map out the building of the digital twin connectivity to existing or new Operations applications, such as our plant data historian, plant preventative maintenance tool, mechanical integrity software, etc. This will enable operators and operations engineering support personnel to maximize their efficiency, develop benchmarking and historical data management, and implement the best application of asset data automation technology tools and methods for the organization.

DIMENSIONS:

The role's objective is to provide global asset data automation requirements as well as continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes to sustain Operational Excellence of the assets. While the role will focus initially on one large scale operations location, the individual will be developing the vision and road map for how digital twins and data hubs will be used and kept evergreen at other sites in the future.

The candidate must have proven experience in the systems and tools for an owner-operator organization. She/he should have an in-depth knowledge of typical O&M work processes and systems roadmap, integration, interfaces, and dependencies.
