Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC), located at 1620 River Road, just off Interstate 80 in Central Pennsylvania, is a technical educational institution founded in 1968 to meet the needs of the community and six secondary sending schools

Descripción del Servicio del Proveedor:

Competency based program providing theory and practice in welding. Curriculum includes blueprint reading, metal identification and electrode selection. The program features oxyacetylene, electric arc, metallic inert gas, and tungsten inert gas welding with the addition of plasma arc and spray process. CAP STONE/COOP may be an option to eligible students as an addition to the program.

Habilidades y Competencias impartidas:

Upon completion of program, student will take NOCTI testing (National Occupational Competency Testing Institute). Students will also have the option of taking the AWS certification at their cost.

  • Safe and proper use of welding equipment
  • Welding symbols
  • Reading detailed welding drawings
  • Base metal preparation
  • Fundamentals & techniques of shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
  • Oxy-acetylene welding, brazing and cutting
  • Fundamentals& techniques of gas tungsten arc welding, plasma arc cutting, & quality fundamentals and technical gas metal arc welding.
