The European Medical School of Massage LLC is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Private Schools, accredited by COMTA, the Commission On Massage Therapy Accreditation and offers financial aid for those who qualify.
Program Description
MISSION The mission of European Medical School of Massage LLC is to establish an educational program that is committed to preparing students with proper instruction, education, positive guidance and training in the essential modalities of medical massage to fulfill their vision of a successful career to serve the community. Guiding the students to focus on a population who suffer from pain and stress, injuries or medical conditions including sport injuries, cancer, post orthopedic rehabilitation and prevention of future conditions. You will learn European techniques of medical massage to help people in chronic pain and injuries. European Medical School of Massage will aid you in an externship position in a chiropractic office, hospital setting, fitness center or spa setting. After your externship our career services department will help you secure employment after state licensing, usually in the externship location. EMSOM has 100% job placement. We will teach you the skills to become a highly trained medical massage therapist in 9 months. We offer day and evening classes February, July and October each year.
Skills & Competencies
The 700 Hour European Medical and Therapeutic Massage program and will provide the student with a Diploma program to prepare for a career in medical massage therapy. The programs will offer students quality, comprehensive training in modalities including: Medical and Rehabilitative Massage; Oncology massage; Sports massage; Aromatherapy; Hydrotherapy; Orthopedic Massage, Soft Tissue Release; Myofascial and Trigger Point release; Pre- and Post-natal massage; Deep Tissue massage; Reflexology; and other modalities specifically focused on special populations. The program also provides the student with training in professional business development, ethics and law, CPR, First Aid AED Adult and Child. After successful completion, the practitioner will be prepared to take the State licensing examination and thereafter can look forward to a rewarding career in medical massage.
