Program Description
The classes are designed to provide students with the necessary skills to secure entry level postions such a medical biller/coder, medical billing/coding specialist, certified medical coder, remote outpatient coding positions in coding and billing services, medical practices, and insurance companies. This is a hybrid delivery method. The class will meet twice per week with an instructor at South Hills School. The remaining portion of the course s online.
Skills & Competencies
The Medical Coding & Billing students have a foundation of knowledge in anatomy and physiology, medical terminolgy, the principles related to proper claim form preparation, submission ad payment processing, and the follow up process. Medical coding professionals specialize in ICD-10-CM diagnosis and HCPCS/CPT procedure coding.
