Description of Training Provider
The Shelly Truck Driving School is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide CDL Class A truck driving instruction and is an approved CDL testing site.
Program Description
This course is designed to train students to drive tractor trailers and obtain a CDL Class A license.
Skills & Competencies
Our graduates are qualified for employment as tractor trailer drivers. A diploma is awarded upon successful completion of the CDL Class A exam. Specific skills and competencies taught include the importance of vehicle inspections (pre-trip, en route and post-trip);air braking, navigating steep down grades, driving techniques (up shifting, downshifting, turning right and left, braking, and backing), speed management, passing, centering, defensive driving techniques, and safety techniques.
