Primary Function
The position will provide psychiatric/behavioral health evaluations, acute therapy and support services for patients in Jefferson practices of varying specialties and within the Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior in a collaborative, Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) model.
Essential Functions:
Provides comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, brief interventions, supportive therapy, group therapy and other psychological treatment modalities.
Supports JUP practices in providing clinical/consultative services and education to patients and their family members, specifically within the model of the integrated behavioral health (IBH) program.
Provide effective treatment planning and assisting clients in successfully achieving goals. Assist the primary care team in developing care management processes such as the use of guidelines, disease management techniques, case management, and patient education to improve self-management of chronic disease.
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.
Other Functions and Competencies:
Maintains a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality within the Department. Maintains working knowledge of best practices in the field of integrated behavioral health and population health. Works with other psychiatry faculty in a conjoint therapy model
Documents accurately within the medical record of patients as well as other forms to meet city, state and federal regulatory requirements
Completes all medical record and billing requirements within the electronic health record system
Prioritizes and maintains assigned cases to ensure appropriate services are provided to patients
Education:
Masters in Social Work from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or an equivalent degree as determined by the Council on Social Work Education
License/Certification:
Licensed Master's-Level Psychologist, LCSW

Provides care that is appropriate to the specific chronological age, developmental age, social maturity and cultural background of the patients being treated.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting is required. Prefer three or more years of outpatient clinical behavioral health experience
